Day 3: Immerse yourself in the desert experience, beginning with a breathtaking sunrise, followed by visits to nomadic families, Khamlia Village, and the impressive Big Dune of Morocco. The day winds down with a peaceful evening in Merzouga.
Day 4: Conclude your journey by passing through the Ziz Valley, the lush cedar forests of Azrou, and the “Moroccan Switzerland” of Ifrane before arriving in Fes. This tour provides the perfect blend of nature, culture, and adventure.
Day 1: Marrakech – Tizi N’Tichka Pass – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Kelaa M’Gouna – Boumalne Dades
We will pick you up from your hotel/riad in Marrakech and begin our journey to Ait Benhaddou, crossing the scenic Tizi N’Tichka Pass (2,260 meters). Here, you’ll visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou and stop for lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we continue to Ouarzazate, where you’ll have time for photos near the Atlas Film Studios and a panoramic view of the Kasbah of Taourirt. Then, we head to Kelaa M’Gouna or Boumalne Dades for dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel.
Day 2: Boumalne Dades – Todra Gorges – Tinejdad – Erfoud – Merzouga (Erg Chebbi Dunes)
After breakfast, we’ll set off toward Tineghir, passing through Boumalne Dades and enjoying a panoramic view of the valley. We’ll visit the dramatic Todra Gorges for a short hike, then continue to Tinejdad, where we’ll break for lunch. In Erfoud, we’ll stop to explore a local fossil workshop before reaching the majestic Erg Chebbi dunes. Here, embark on a sunset camel trek to your desert camp, where you’ll have dinner and spend the night in a traditional nomad tent.
Day 3: Merzouga Desert – Nomadic Families – Khamlia Village – Erg Chebbi
Rise early to witness a stunning desert sunrise. After breakfast in Merzouga, we’ll circle the vast Erg Chebbi dunes, visiting the towering Big Dune of Morocco. We’ll continue along a former Paris-Dakar rally route, stopping at the Tissardmin oasis to observe fossil quarries and nomadic settlements. Our journey takes us to Khamlia Village, where you can enjoy a tea while listening to live Gnawa music. The afternoon is yours to relax and explore the dunes. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Merzouga.
Day 4: Merzouga Desert – Ziz Valley – Cedar Forests – Ifrane – Fes
After breakfast, we’ll head north through the Tafilalet palm grove, home to thousands of palm trees. We’ll follow the Ziz Valley, stopping at a viewpoint to take in its breathtaking views. Continuing to Midelt, we’ll pause for lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll pass through cedar forests, where you may see Barbary monkeys, and visit the picturesque town of Ifrane, known as the “Moroccan Switzerland.” By 6 p.m., we’ll arrive in Fes, where your tour concludes with a transfer to your hotel.
